Strangers Things Is Not Strange To Me

I've always felt that I was born in the wrong era. I have a love for 60's fashion and 50's hair and makeup. I have a love for Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Marlon Brando. And I have love for 80's music. I was meant to be born in a time of great movies, music and interesting fashion-the 80's. And this show just proves it.

I absolutely love 80's movies from The Breakfast Club to E.T., both on which I grew up on. And this shows reminds me of my childhood.

Each character brings out some uniqueness to the screen. Something that I believe we haven't seen at all on TV.

The show revolves around these ordinary kids who happen to run into an extraordinary girl with abilities. Or shall I say superpowers.

These kids go on a mission to find their missing friend, Will, who has been lost for weeks.

This story line reminds me so much of Stephen King's novels and Stand by Me (another one of my favorite movies), which the directors wanted in the first place.

These actors are phenomenal! Especially Wionna Ryder, which is the whole reason I watched the show in the first place. I had missed Wionna's actor for awhile. I really wanted to see her in something again like Heathers, and lets be real this was even better.

She plays a single mother of two, who works tirelessly for her children. Then one goes missing and she well, go crazy. She puts you on edge every time you see her. You tend worry with her about her son Will.

Then there's kids. They are amazing! Some of them are first time actors and well let's just say that they are going to have jobs lined up. They had so much energy and chemistry that I believed they had been friends forever.

Then there's the teenagers, which I fell in love with the love triangle. And Barb! These actors made you feel like you were in high school again and gave you that Breakfast Club vibe. Where you had the cool kids and the losers, and the creeps aka Jonathan.

Nancy was like Molly Ringwald and Steve was bit like Bender and Andrew Clark all in one. Although I'm not the biggest fan of Steve, I do love the Jean Ralphio hair! Let's be real here I love Nancy and Jonathan together. #Nanathan

The clothes and the music-that's how you tie in a great soundtrack to show! It added so much atmosphere and character. It gave a whole new meaning to mysterious and horror. It made it feel eerie without the dramatic effects.

The whole plot of the story-the writing- is just amazing that words cannot describe. I'm still processing the whole thing.

I got lost so much in the story that I believed that I was in the show. I love that about TV or books, that when you lose yourself in the story the director or author did his job.

Overall I CAN'T WAIT TO SEASON TWO!!!! This show is now my life.

Grade: A++++
