From the Farmer's Market to the Museum

This past weekend my lovely cousins came down to San Antonio for a lovely visit. Which to me was a great surprise. I hadn't seen my cousin since Thanksgiving and she hadn't actually came to San Antonio since we were about 11.

So it was a truly great surprise. Since its been awhile since my cousin came to see me, you have to know that I wanted that her and her family to all my favorite spots.

The Pearl. And what do we find at the Pearl? The Farmer's Market! And Bakery Lorraine of course!

It was so much fun looking through the fresh foods and getting a bite to eat at my favorite place.

We of course enjoyed the many, many desserts that Bakery Lorraine has to offer and of course its most famous Quiche Lorraine.

The Farmer's Market had so much activity and life in it. There were people practicing couple's yoga. There was an artist painting the Pearl and there was a cute little girl smelling the flowers.

We didn't want our day to end, so we heading to the San Antonio Museum of Art. My one of my favorite museums a matter of fact. They had this great exhibit of Jamie Wyeth's work which is phenomenal. And the work artwork they have is amazing too.

I had missed going to the museum and spending a day looking at these amazing artists that truly have an amazing talent and interesting back story. Unfortunately I couldn't get pictures of Wyeth's work because it wasn't allowed but you must look up his work. It will just leave you speechless. Look up The Murder of Crows, it's my favorite.

It was an amazing weekend. I'm glad that I got to spend it with my cousins. There wouldn't have been a better way to start the summer.

I hope everyone has a great summer. I know I'll see you soon.
